A three-year illness took me to Heaven’s door, where I was healed and shown what was coming, so that I could help carry it for somebody else.

My story
Two precious baby girls, gone before they ever set foot on this earth.
My mother. My father. My brother. My beautiful 28-year-old son Jonny, called home with no warning at all. Then my remaining son went silent under the weight of his brother’s death, and my marriage ended. I will not pretend any of that was small.
And I want you to hear the next part, because nobody believes it the first time. I have real joy. Not the brave-face kind. The sustaining kind. Beauty for ashes.

Why healing needs a witness
Healing begins the moment you are truly seen
Heaven and my losses have been my greatest teachers. What I saw there carried me through everything that came afterwards, and it showed me the road from mourning to light.
I no longer try to fix people. I serve them. I listen deeply, I do not judge, and I do not let anybody else’s judgement decide how I love you. That is the whole of my method, and it is enough.
Only somebody carrying the same wound can truly see you. That is what Jonny’s Angels is for — a community, a 12-step program and coaching, built to renew your mind, find you peace, and turn your mourning into light.

Ordained to serve, not to fix
In April 2024 I was ordained through Universal Life Church Ministries. It does not make me a therapist and I have never once claimed to be one. What it does is name out loud the thing I was already doing: sitting with people in the worst hour of their lives, praying with the ones who want prayer, and staying just as close to the ones who do not.
It also means I can stand with a family at a memorial, or bless a birthday your child is not here for, if you ask me to.
Ask me to pray with you and I will. Ask me never to mention it and I never will. Come as you are. That has never been a slogan here.

I write children’s books for adults too. Every story carries something I learned in Heaven, wrapped in the simplicity of a children’s tale, because the simplest stories slip past our defences and go straight to the heart. My book on Heaven is coming soon.

Why Jonny’s Angels is needed
“Our prayer and mission is to ensure no parent or sibling feels isolated in their grief. We aim to inform, educate, and connect those who have experienced the death of a child. We believe this 12-step program, designed specifically for angel parents and siblings, is a successful format to bring community, light and structure to this very special group of families who carry an unimaginable loss with courage and love.”
Angel parents and siblings should be seen and honoured, and that is the whole point of this. No parent and no sibling left isolated. We see you. You belong here.
